It is a bustling and prosperous port city and the capital of a fertile agricultural area, a thriving industrial center with metal, furniture, and paper factories, and a large export hub for citrus fruits, vegetables, and wine. It is also home to some of Spain’s best beaches and provides a unique mix of culture, history, and fun in the sun.

Alicante is a city and port in Spain on the Costa Blanca. It is a historic Mediterranean port. Amongst the most notable features of the city are the Castle of Santa Barbara, which sits high above the city, and the port of Alicante. The latter was the subject of bitter controversy in 2006–2007 as residents battled, successfully, to keep it from being changed into an industrial estate. The Santa Barbara castle is situated on Mount Benacantil, overlooking the city. The tower (La Torreta) at the top, is the oldest part of the castle, while part of the lowest zone and the walls were constructed later in the 18th century.

Castellon de la Plan, Castello de la Plana, or simply Castellon / Castello, is the capital city of the province of Castellon, in the Valencian Community, Spain, in the east of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Costa del Azahar by the Mediterranean Sea. The mountain range known as Desert de les Palmes rises inland north of the town. The Prime Meridian crosses Castellon. Most of the historical buildings are located in the diminutive old town, around the Placa Major (Main Square). The annual festivities in Castellon are a week of celebrations three weeks before Easter every year called La Magdalena. People come from all over the province and many international bands and groups participate.

Benicarlo is a city and municipality in the north of the province of Castello, part of the Valencian Community, in the Mediterranean Coast between the cities of Vinaros and Peniscola, not too far south from the Ebre River. Tourism, agriculture and some manufacturing are the major industries. Benicarló is part of the Taula del Sénia free association of municipalities. Main sights include: Chapel of Cristo del Mar, Parish church of Sant Bartolomeu (18th century), Convent of St. Francis (1578), and the Hermitage of St. Gregory.

Elche, or Elx, is a city located in the comarca of Baix Vinalopo, Spain. Part of the municipality is coastal but the main city is some 11 km from the Mediterranean Sea. A small creek called Vinalopo flows through the city splitting it in two parts. Main sights in Elche include : Palmeral of Elche ("The Palm Grove of Elche"). It is an orchard of over 200,000 palm trees that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000; Altamira Castle, also known as Alcazar de la Senoría, located next to the Municipal Park, It was originally built in Almohad times (12th-13th centuries), and was later renovated with brick exterior in the 15th century. Today it is home to the Elche Archaeology and History Museum
