Inari

Finland, Lapland region

2 nightsThu. Aug 15 - Sat. Aug 17

Inari is a population center in the municipality of Inari in Finland. The village grew up along in a spot where the fast-flowing Juutua River empties into Lake Inari. As the centuries went by, the village developed into a robust and active market and trade center. When the municipality of Inari was founded in 1876, the village became its center. The people living in Inari then were not, however, the first people to live in the village, as people had been living on the shores of Lake Inari for thousands of years before that. Several stone-age dwellings have been found in Vuopaja, on the edge of town near Siida, the Sami Museum.

Set on the confluence of the Juutua River and Lake Inari and surrounded by natural beauty, this village makes for a nice retreat.

Helsinki

Finland, Uusimaa region

Night lifeFoodCultureBeachesActive4 nightsSun. Aug 25 - Thu. Aug 29

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a love story between the city and the sea. The city lies on the shores of the Gulf of Finland and the blue arms of the Baltic Sea and it is surrounded by hundreds of islands and islets. The city center is surprisingly beautiful with an urban charm that combines neoclassical buildings, many cobblestone and ancient alleys - evidence of influence from the Russian East and modern Scandinavian architectural style. Helsinki holds a wide range of interesting sites and fascinating attractions.
It is ranked as one of the most livable cities in the world.
Secret: There are different areas of the city that actually have heated sidewalks (some of which have heating elements to keep them free of ice and snow).

Walking, cycling, jogging, supping – all these activities bring this area to life and Lake Tolunalatti and the landscape give you an authentic taste and feel of Finland.
