Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. Its name translates to White City. One of the most important prehistoric cultures of Europe, the Vinča culture, evolved within the Belgrade area in the 6th millennium BC. Throughout its history, the city has been settled by Celts, Romans, Slavs, Franks, Hungarian, and Ottoman. Belgrade has been awarded many titles, and is classified as a Beta- global city. Pecs is the fifth largest city of Hungary. The city has always been a multicultural city where many cultural layers are encrusted melting different values of the history of two thousand years. The first university in Hungary was founded in Pecs in 1367 (the largest university still resides here). It also retains its rich heritage from the age of a 150-year-long Ottoman occupation, exemplified in the mosque of Pasha Qasim and the Jakovali Hassan Mosque. In addition, the city is noted for the Cella Septichora, the Necropolic of Sopianae, an 11C cathedral, and Hungarian Bishop's Palace, among multitude of others.
