Denmark South Zealand Island Ringsted

Ringsted is a city located in the Danish island of Zealand, approximately 60 km from Copenhagen. It is one of Denmarks busiest transit cities as it is located in the very middle of Zealand, connecting both the southern parts of Zealand as well as Funen and Jutland with the Copenhagen area. Ringsted features two shopping centers named RingStedet and Ringsted Outlet Center. Ringsted also has a wide selection of cafes and restaurants, as well as two local breweries. During the summer months, a mobile tourist office is opened in the town square. A local landmark is St. Bendt's Church — a Romanesque, former Benedictine, abbey church containing numerous tombs of medieval Danish royalty.

A warm and welcoming town, Ringsted is known as a gateway to some of Denmark's finest natural attractions.
