Norway Trondelag

Trondheim is a city in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. Most of the downtown area of Trondheim is scattered with small specialty stores and shops, however a considerable part of the downtown shopping area is concentrated around the pedestrianized streets Nordre gate, Olav Tryggvasons gate and Thomas Angells gate. Landmarks in town include Kristiansten Fortress, The Munkholmen islet, the statue of Olav Tryggvason in the city's central plaza and the Stiftsgården royal residence. The Nidaros Cathedral is particularly noteworthy for it's cultural and religious significance and for it's gothic architecture.

Røros is a town in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The modern-day inhabitants of Røros still work and live in the characteristic 17th and 18th century buildings which have led to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Røros has about 80 wooden houses, most of them standing around courtyards. Many retain their dark pitch-log facades, giving the town a medieval appearance. During winter, a traditional market called "Rørosmartnan" is organized each year in February and attracts many tourists. Femundsmarka National Park is located not far from town, as well as several lakes with the larger ones being Aursund, Femund, Bolagen and Flensjøen.
