Lithuania Klaipeda

Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, the administrative center of Neringa municipality. Located on the Curonian Spit between the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea, it is the westernmost point of Lithuania and the Baltic states, close to the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast exclave. It currently has about 1,650 residents. The town is an upmarket holiday resort, hosting about 200,000 to 300,000 tourists each summer. It is characterized by low-key entertainment and a distinct family focus. However during recent years it become a decent point of interest for fine electronica music and modern art shows at an eclectic forest retreat. Its main attractions include the famous Parnidis Dune, as well as its wonderful beach.

Klaipeda is a city in Lithuania situated at the mouth of the Dane River where it flows into the Baltic Sea. It is the third largest city in Lithuania and has a complex recorded history, partially due to the combined regional importance of the Port of Klaipeda, a usually ice-free port on the Baltic Sea, and the Akmena-Dane River. The city was incorporated into Lithuania during its time as a Soviet Socialist Republic and has remained Lithuanian following its re-establishment as an independent state. Popular seaside resorts found close to Klaipeda are Nida to the south on the Curonian Spit, and Palanga to the north. Its main sights include the wonderful town center and the Klaipeda Clock Museum.

Palanga is a seaside resort town in western Lithuania, on the shore of the Baltic Sea. It is the busiest summer resort in Lithuania and has beaches of sand 18m long and up to 300m wide, as well as sand dunes. In the summer, a multitude of tourists stay on Palanga, both for its beaches and to enjoy the maritime atmosphere. There is a carnival centered on Jonas Basanavicius Street, which is a pedestrian only thoroughfare during the high season. There are dozens of restaurants, bars, rides, and other forms of entertainment. Palanga's attractions include an Amber Museum and its extensive botanical gardens, Birute Hill, and the Anaiciai Ethnographic Cemetery.

Juodkrante, with permanent population of about 720 people, is a quiet Lithuanian seaside resort village located on the Curonian Spit. A part of Neringa municipality, Juodkrante is the second largest settlement on Lithuania's part of the spit. Situated in Old Prussian territory it was for centuries a fishing village named Schwarzort, which underwent a tourist boom in the late 19C-early 20C. After WWI this northern part of East Prussia was severed from Germany and the village became known as Juodkrante. When you're in the area, be sure to visit the Hill of Witches.

Sventoji is a small resort town on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Lithuania. Administratively it is part of Palanga city. The town is located about 12km north of Palanga center and close to the border with Latvia. Sventoji River flows into the Baltic sea at the town. The town also has a famous lighthouse, which is located 780m from the sea. The town is a popular summer resort for families, during summer it has many cafes, restaurants and various attractions for the visitors. Sventoji is an important archaeological site as the first artifacts are dated about 3000 BC. Enjoy Sventoji for its mellow atmosphere and the sense of history permeating its streets.
