Lillehammer is a town in Oppland county, Norway. It is known as a typical venue for winter sporting events, and had hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. In addition to the Olympic site, Lillehammer offers a number of other tourist attractions including Garmo stave church, The PS Skibladner paddle steamer and The rock carvings at Drotten, Fåberg. there are also several sky resorts in the area including Hafjell, Kvitfjell and Sjusjøen. The city centre is a late 19th-century concentration of wooden houses, which enjoys a picturesque location overlooking the northern part of lake Mjøsa and the river Lågen, surrounded by mountains.

Kongsberg is a townin Buskerud county, Norway. The town is divided by the river Numedalslågen, which has three waterfalls in the town itself. A local attraction, The crowns in Håvet is a site where Norwegian royal monograms have been carved into the mountainside. Kongsberg is also home to the Mint of Norway which mints Norwegian coins and also produces circulating and collectors' coins for other countries.

Sandefjord is a city and municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Sandefjord. The city is known for its rich Viking history and the prosperous whaling industry, which once made Sandefjord the richest city in Norway. One of the most important remains from the Viking age was found at the grave site Gokstadhaugen in Sandefjord. The Gokstad ship was excavated by Nicolay Nicolaysen and is now in the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo. There is also a whaling museum in town. Sandefjord has a good selection of restaurants and cafés and a charming city centre, consisting of a mixture of old and modern buildings and a wide selection of shops.

Hamar is a town in Hedmark county, Norway. The town is located on the shores of lake Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake. The Hedmark museum, located on Domkirkeodden, is a historical landmark in Hamar, an outdoor museum with remains of the medieval church, the episcopal fortress and a collection of old farm houses. some other landmarks include the Olympia Hall and Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre which hosted events during the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Drammen is a city in Buskerud County, Norway. It is one of the larger cities in Norway, and lies about 40 kilometres from the capital of Norway, Oslo Sight in the city include Aass Brewery - oldest surviving brewery in Norway, The Drammen Spiral and The Drammen Museum of Art and Cultural History. The museum also includes the two largest preserved like farms in Drammen, Gulskogen Manor and Austad farm.

Gjovik is a town and a municipality in Oppland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Gjovik. It is one of the many towns bordering Norway's biggest lake, Mjosa. Gjovik has two notable hotels, the Grand hotel and the Strand hotel. Local landmarks include Gjovik farm, Gjovik glassworks, Eiktunet cultural-history museum, the PS Skibladner and Gjovik Olympic Hall.

Larvik is a town and municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Larvik. Larvik is also noted for its natural springs of mineral water, Farriskildene, which have been commercially exploited under the brand name Farris. At Kaupang in Tjolling, lie the remains of the medieval Skiringssal trading outpost. Landmarks in town include Larvik Maritime Museum, Herregarden Manor House and Treschow-Fritzøe Museum. Larvik has a daily ferry connection to Hirtshals, Denmark.

Skien is a city in Telemark county, Norway. Skien is one of Norway's oldest cities, with an urban history dating back to the Middle Ages. Telemark Museum in town is a complex of several smaller museums with the most notable one being The Henrik Ibsen Museum, which was the most important writer to emerge from Norway. Skien Fritidspark indoor waterpark is another popular location in town.

Tønsberg is a municipality in Vestfold county, southern Norway, on the western coast of the Oslofjord. Perhaps the most important landmark in the town is Slottsfjellet - the tower standing on the hill. Other notable landmarks include The Haugar Art Museum, Foynegården, Ruins of St. Olav's Church and Oseberghaugen - a Viking era burial mound. The Oseberg ship was found in this site. Tønsberg is also noted for the silverware produced in town.

Halden is a town in Østfold county, Norway. The town is surrounded by forests and water bodies and there are many hiking destinations. Popular destinations for hikers and other nature lovers include Prestebakke and Kornsjø. Halden hosts several festivals including a food and wooden boat festival in july, the Bom-Kræsj-Bang cultural festival during April and the Down on the Farm country/roots festival. Other sights in town include The fortress of Fredriksten which houses several museums and Rød Herregård - one of the best preserved manor houses in Norway.

Fredrikstad is a city and municipality in Østfold county, Norway. The city straddles the river Glomma with the city centre on the west bank of the Glomma, while the old town on the east bank is Northern Europe's best preserved fortified town.
